“B-BOYS, B-GIRLS
88 CULTURE KINGS
TRY TO UNDERSTAND
EXACTLY WHAT COMPOSURE BRINGS
AND, LIKE THEY TRIED TO SAY
DR. DRE FORGOT THE BAY
I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT
WHAT’S A CHAKRA WEIGH?”
-Methuzulah

Greetings Family.

Here I am rocking the mike.

It is with equal doses of pride and humility that I come before you. If you don’t know me, I am Methuzulah, a photographer, entrepreneur, and hip-hop artist from Atlanta, and I have been determined to inspire and educate our people through hip-hop culture since 1988. By the grace of God, I have been able to not only pursue my dreams, but also blessed to connect with a powerful organization of like-minded individuals who share my passion for using Hip-Hop culture to change minds and empower people to view themselves as conscious beings able to express themselves individually and collectively with dignity, discipline, and an educated awareness necessary to protect and promote peace and prosperity in our communities. This organization has equipped me with the insights, relationships, and tools to make a difference in the world.

The powerful organization I speak of is the Universal Zulu Nation. Founded in the 1970’s in New York, the Zulu Nation is the preeminent Hip-Hop awareness organization in the world, and it has played a fundamental role in shaping Hip-Hop as a force for positivity in the world. Now, as the Zulu Nation prepares to celebrate an august anniversary of its own and that of Hip-Hop itself with an awesome multi-day celebration, I am overjoyed to announce that I have been asked to take part in these Anniversary Celebrations. As a participant-performer, I will be able to showcase my craft in an international forum and pay tribute to a cultural that I love and live every day. It is rare that a person is able to solidify their dreams and then bestowed with the assets needed to bring the conception to fruition. Please help me to enlarge my territory and grow stronger as a cultural warrior by sending me to this momentous Celebration.

Here is some of my music for you to enjoy:

Garvey says: “Liberate the minds of men and ultimately you will liberate the bodies of men”. My music attempts to fulfill this mission.

Here is your opportunity to give back to Hip-Hop, a culture which has given so much to you.

What is the mission of the Universal Zulu Nation?

The Zulu Nation is determined, through the principles of this Hip-Hop Declaration of Peace, to motivate the Hip-Hop Culture to establish a foundation of Health, Love, Awareness, Wealth, Peace and Prosperity for ourselves, our children and their children’s children, forever. For the clarification of Hip-Hop’s meaning and purpose, or when the intention of Hip-Hop is questioned, or when disputes between parties arise concerning Hip-Hop; participants shall have access to the advice of the, “The Hip-Hop Declaration of Peace”… as guidance, advice and protection.

What is the Celebration all about?

What will I bring to the Celebrations?

I will bring my unique stage show and flows to the Celebrations. My style is unorthodox, ambidextrous, and most importantly ORGANIC!!! I’ve been nfluenced by talents such as James Brown, Melle Mel, Rakim, Nas, Jay Electronica… just to name a few. I am one of the most respected names in Atlanta Hip-Hop, and known for my complex rhymes, rapid-fire delivery, and unique stage presence that “hits like a punch in the gut”. I am an embodiment of my respect for Golden Era Hip-Hop, but I have my own style which is classic in its own right. At the Celebrations, I plan to make connections for future endeavors involving and linking my community and other Hip-Hop communities abroad! As a result, I will come back to my home base more enthusiastic then I have ever been and with a sharpened focus needed evolve into a global force.

Why should you give?

If you have supported my music throughout the years, then you already know that I pour my passion into my craft, and am unrelenting in my desire to animate Hip-Hop culture with my own brand of supreme intellect and talent. Help me to continue this journey so that I can continue to bestow my gems upon you.

If you are a supporter of the Zulu Nation or Hip-Hop in general, then this is a perfect opportunity for you to pay it forward, and help to grow the change in our communities we desperately need. Your gift to me will allow me to make an exponentially larger contribution to Hip-Hop, and the cycle will continue!

I have also provided some nice rewards for all donations including a t-shirt with this POWERFUL logo and a chance to participate in a momentous photo shoot.  What’s more, I have committed to donating 10 hours of service to the organization of YOUR (collective) choice if I meet my goal.

Thank you in advance for your donations. I appreciate you!
